Privacy policy for Kviskre (iPhone and Mac). Norsk først, English below.
Personvernerklæring
Kviskre samler ikke inn, lagrer ikke og sender ikke personopplysninger.
Hva appen gjør med lyden din
- Lyd tas opp bare mens du dikterer – etter at du har startet opptaket med knappen i appen, Action-knappen, Kontrollsenter eller Siri/Snarveier.
- Lyden holdes i enhetens minne, transkriberes på enheten av talemodellen NB-Whisper, og kastes når teksten er klar. Ingen lyd skrives til disk og ingen lyd sendes noe sted.
Teksten du dikterer
- Teksten legges på utklippstavlen (på iPhone med utløpstid du kan velge) og i appens historikk, som bare finnes i minnet til appen avsluttes.
- På iPhone lagres den siste dikteringen i tillegg i appens private App Group-område, slik at Kviskre-tastaturet kan sette den inn der du skriver. Tastaturet leser bare dette området, og bare når du har gitt det full tilgang. Det sender ingenting videre.
Statistikk
Statistikksiden teller ord, dikteringer og taletid per dag. Bare tallene lagres, på enheten. Aldri teksten.
Anonym bruksstatistikk
For å forstå hvor mye Kviskre brukes, sender appen de samme daglige tallene til vår egen server (kviskre.nerdtech.no). Dette er på som standard og kan skrus av under Innstillinger → Personvern → «Del anonym bruksstatistikk».
- Det som sendes: per dag antall dikteringer, ord og tegn, taletid i sekunder, hvilken talemodell som ble brukt, appversjon, operativsystemversjon og skrivehastigheten du har valgt for «tid spart».
- Tilfeldig installasjons-ID: en tilfeldig kode som lages første gang appen starter. Den er ikke knyttet til deg, Apple-ID-en din eller enheten, og kan nullstilles i innstillingene. Vi bruker den bare for å telle installasjoner og dager i bruk.
- Det som aldri sendes: lyd, tekst, navn, e-post, IP-adresse (den lagres ikke), plassering eller andre identifikatorer.
- Lagring: tallene lagres hos vår databaseleverandør som daglige summer og kan ikke kobles tilbake til en person.
Varsler og meldinger
Hver type varsel har sin egen bryter under Innstillinger → Varsler, og appen spør én gang, første gang den starter, om den får sende varsler i det hele tatt.
- Påminnelser om dagsrekke og huskepunkter planlegges på enheten ut fra din egen statistikk og dine huskepunkter. Ingenting sendes noe sted for dem.
- Nyheter og tips fra Kviskre skriver vi. De kommer som push-varsler på iPhone og Mac: med én av typene på sender appen vår server push-tokenet (en adresse Apple utsteder for appen på den enheten), den tilfeldige installasjons-ID-en, app- og systemversjon, appspråk, om varsler er tillatt, og hvilke typer du har valgt. Skrur du av alle typene, fjernes tokenet fra serveren vår. Mac-appen henter i tillegg listen over meldinger fra serveren (med appversjon og språk, ingen identifikator) i tilfelle et push uteblir.
- Vi fører en logg over hvilken melding som ble levert til hvilket token, så vi kan telle rekkevidde. Ingenting i den identifiserer deg.
Kviskre-konto (valgfritt)
Du kan bruke Kviskre uten konto; da blir alt på enheten. Logger du inn med Apple (på velkomstskjermen, i Innstillinger eller på Huskeliste-siden), lagres Huskelisten også på vår server, slik at Mac og iPhone viser samme liste og den følger med til en ny enhet.
- Det som lagres: Apples anonyme bruker-ID for Kviskre (appen ber ikke om navn eller e-post, så Apple deler det ikke), huskepunktene dine med tekst, frist, avkrysning og hvor de er sendt videre, og innloggingsøkter (en tilfeldig nøkkel per enhet, plattform og appversjon). Aldri lyd, annen diktert tekst, statistikk eller install-ID-en.
- Hvem som kan lese det: dataene er kryptert hos databaseleverandøren, men ikke ende-til-ende-kryptert, så vi kan teknisk sett lese huskepunktene. Vi gjør det ikke, og de brukes bare til synkronisering.
- Logg ut fjerner økten på enheten; kontoen og kopien av listen blir liggende. Slett konto (Innstillinger → Konto) sletter kontoen, alle økter og alle huskepunkter fra serveren med en gang og trekker tilbake innloggingen hos Apple. Huskepunktene på enhetene dine blir værende.
- Slettede huskepunkter beholdes som tomme merker i 30 dager, så andre enheter får vite om slettingen. Utløpte økter slettes automatisk.
- Push-meldinger er ikke knyttet til kontoen.
Nettverk
Appens nettverkstrafikk er nedlastingen av talemodellen fra huggingface.co (Nasjonalbibliotekets NbAiLab) og oppsummeringsmodellen (mlx-community), én gang per modell, den anonyme bruksstatistikken beskrevet over, meldingene beskrevet under «Varsler og meldinger», Kviskre-kontoen når du er logget inn, og – bare mens du har sendt notatroboten inn i et møte – forbindelsen til teams.microsoft.com / teams.live.com. Forespørslene inneholder ikke andre opplysninger enn det som er nevnt der.

Tillatelser
- Mikrofon: nødvendig for å diktere.
- Full tilgang for Kviskre-tastaturet (iPhone, valgfritt): brukes bare til å lese den siste dikteringen fra App Group-området. Tastaturet fungerer som vanlig tastatur uten.
- Tilgjengelighet / inndataovervåking (Mac): brukes til å lime inn teksten der markøren står og til å fange opp hurtigtasten. Ingen tastetrykk lagres.
Barn
Appen er ikke rettet mot barn og samler ikke inn opplysninger fra noen, uansett alder.

Privacy policy
Kviskre does not collect, store or transmit personal data.
What the app does with your audio
- Audio is captured only while you are dictating – after you start a recording with the button in the app, the Action button, Control Center or Siri/Shortcuts.
- The audio stays in the device's memory, is transcribed on the device by the NB-Whisper speech model and is discarded once the text is ready. No audio is written to disk and no audio is sent anywhere.
The text you dictate
- The text is placed on the clipboard (on iPhone with an expiry you can choose) and in the app's history, which exists in memory only until the app quits.
- On iPhone the latest dictation is also stored in the app's private App Group container so the Kviskre keyboard can insert it where you are typing. The keyboard only reads that container, and only when you have granted it Full Access. It sends nothing anywhere.
Statistics
The Statistics page counts words, dictations and speaking time per day. Only the numbers are stored, on the device. Never the text.
Anonymous usage statistics
To understand how much Kviskre is used, the app sends the same daily counts to our own server (kviskre.nerdtech.no). This is on by default and can be turned off under Settings → Privacy → "Share anonymous usage statistics".
- What is sent: per day, the number of dictations, words and characters, speaking time in seconds, which speech model was used, the app version, the OS version and the typing speed you chose for "time saved".
- Random install ID: a random code created the first time the app starts. It is not linked to you, your Apple ID or your device, and can be reset in Settings. We use it only to count installs and days of use.
- What is never sent: audio, text, name, email, IP address (it is not stored), location or any other identifier.
- Storage: the numbers are stored with our database provider as daily totals and cannot be traced back to a person.
Notifications and messages
Every kind of notification has its own switch under Settings → Notifications, and the app asks once, the first time it starts, whether it may send any at all.
- Streak and Memory reminders are planned on your device from your own statistics and memories. Nothing is sent anywhere for them.
- News and tips from Kviskre are written by us. They arrive as push notifications on iPhone and Mac: with either kind switched on, the app sends our server its push token (an address Apple issues for the app on that device), the random install ID, the app and system version, the app language, whether notifications are allowed, and which kinds you chose. Switching every kind off removes the token from our server. The Mac app also downloads the list of messages from our server (with the app version and language, no identifier) in case a push goes missing.
- We keep a log of which message was delivered to which token so we can count reach. Nothing in it identifies you.
Kviskre account (optional)
You can use Kviskre without an account; then everything stays on the device. If you sign in with Apple (on the welcome screen, in Settings or on the Memory page), your Memory list is also stored on our server, so your Mac and iPhone show the same list and it follows you to a new device.
- What is stored: Apple's anonymous user ID for Kviskre (the app asks for no name or e-mail, so Apple shares neither), your memories with their text, due date, done state and where they were sent on, and sign-in sessions (a random key per device, platform and app version). Never audio, other dictated text, statistics or the install ID.
- Who can read it: the data is encrypted at our database provider but not end-to-end encrypted, so we can technically read your memories. We do not; they are used only for syncing.
- Log out ends the session on that device; the account and its copy of the list stay. Delete account (Settings → Account) removes the account, every session and every memory from the server at once and revokes the sign-in at Apple. The memories on your devices stay.
- Deleted memories are kept as empty markers for 30 days so your other devices learn about the deletion. Expired sessions are removed automatically.
- Push messages are not linked to the account.
Network
The app's network traffic is the one-time download of the speech model from huggingface.co (the National Library of Norway's NbAiLab) and of the summary model (mlx-community), the anonymous usage statistics described above, the messages described under "Notifications and messages", your Kviskre account while you are signed in, and – only while you have sent the notetaker into a meeting – the connection to teams.microsoft.com / teams.live.com. The requests carry no information beyond what is listed there.

Permissions
- Microphone: required to dictate.
- Full Access for the Kviskre keyboard (iPhone, optional): used only to read the latest dictation from the App Group container. The keyboard works as a normal keyboard without it.
- Accessibility / Input Monitoring (Mac): used to paste the text at the cursor and to detect the hotkey. No keystrokes are stored.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, of any age.
